THE LOVE IS EVERYWHERE WAFFLE BRUNCH

THE LOVE IS EVERYWHERE WAFFLE BRUNCH

The most powerful call in the history of Beautiful/Anonymous is episode 69, “Love Is Everywhere”, when a mother called in to let us know about what it was like helping to navigate her daughter’s experience with cancer. It was heart wrenching and in its own way beautiful and generally regarded by the fan base as one of the most impactful calls of all time. In the course of that call, it was revealed the caller’s daughter Holly loved waffles.

In tribute to Holly, we’ll be hosting a waffle brunch. All profits from this show will be donated to Make-A-Wish Oregon Chapter. During the course of the meal, we’ll also be holding a lightning round of B/A phone calls, allowing people from all over the world to call in to share their stories one minute at a time.

Brunch by Wafels & Dinges includes: One Liège wafel with unlimited dinges (strawberries, bananas, Belgian chocolate fudge, dulce de leche, whipped cream, spekuloos spread, Vermont maple syrup, nutella, walnuts) + choice of Tahitian vanilla or Spekuloos cookie ice cream + coffee, tea, water or soda + seasonal lemonade. We will have gluten free & vegan options available. Please check boxes for all dietary restrictions that apply when purchasing your ticket.

Doors: 12:30pm
Waffle Service: 1:00pm
Beautiful/Anonymous Lightning Round Podcast Taping: 1:30 - 3:00pm

SOCIALLY AWKWARD PEOPLE DANCING

Immediately following the stand-up show.

We’ll end this epic day with a late night dance party. If there’s one thing well known about the people who love Beautiful/Anonymous, it’s that they can often be shy wallflower types. What better way to celebrate our first ever congregation than by getting all of us lovely introverts in the same room to demonstrate our dancing skills?

Join DJ Steve Reynolds for Brooklyn’s best 90s and 00s party with all of your favorite pop, R&B, rock, hip-hop, and dance tunes. Party Like It’s 1999: Beautiful & Anonymous Edition will feature songs from the 90s and 00s that we think are beautiful, plus ones made by some of the most anonymous groups in the era. (Who exactly is in Technotronic? Eiffel 65? Or Next?) Plus we’ll play all your favorite 90s and 00s requests!

Unhitch that overall strap, lace up your Docs, tie that flannel around your waist, put on some frosted lip gloss and set your VCR to record Dawson's Creek and Gilmore Girls -- Party Like it's 1999 is Brooklyn's best 1990s and 2000s dance party where you'll shake it to the best pop, rock, hip hop and R&B jams all night long!

WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT?

Named after one of Gethard’s signature catchphrases, this ill-advised 5 hour event is the crown jewel of this festival. Meet past callers, make your own Thomas’ English muffin, win some silly carnival prizes, sample pickles with the Motor City Mayhem Bros, learn about Astrophysics with Whirlpool Galaxy, get advice from 39-Year-Old Grandma & Succeeding at Failure, play D&D with the DM from Glandon Oakfoot, get the backseat experience with The Road Dogs, talk Zombies with Gay Zombies plus…

Buy merch from Culture Clash (AKA Vinyl Market Researcher), Love Is Everywhere (to benefit Make-A-Wish Oregon) & Selling Sex Toys in Vegas + write your own anonymous stories all weekend long with Strangers Project & much more!**

** 2PM - 3PM • Beautiful/Anonymous Podcast Taping **

GETHARD FINALLY WATCHES CONTACT

GETHARD FINALLY WATCHES CONTACT

Not one but TWO callers over the years have scolded Chris because he has never seen the 1997 Jodie Foster feature film Contact. For our pre-festival kick off show, we’re hosting a screening of the film followed by a 30 minute Q+A between Chris Gethard and the caller from Whirlpool Galaxy. Will Chris like the film? How does the astrophysics presented in the film match up with real life science? We’ll answer all these not so important questions and more!

PURCHASE TICKETS ($19.50)

*Please note that festival passes will NOT admit you into this screening.
